i Read somewhere doing a good HIT session or cardio on an empty stomach in the morning burns up to 300 percent more fat?
my question is what is the more important factor at what TIME you do the workout or the fact that you are on an empty stomach. Thing is i wake up around 11 Am sort of late so i was assume it not matter at what time but rather just that i would be on an empty stomach correct?
I'm not a tremendously huge fan of fasted cardio (even though I do it, sort-of). My feeling is that if you can wake up and go for a walk for half an hour in the morning it's an easy, not very taxing way to burn about a hundred calories while you wake up. HIIT (I think you meant HIIT, not HIT, right?) fasted in the AM - ugh. Hmmm. Even for stubborn fat loss protocols, a small protein meal may be advisable. Unless you're trying to shred off the last few ounces pre-contest, I can't see why you'd want to go through the discomfort of fasted HIIT. And keep in mind, you won't be able to hammer as hard fasted as you would fed - something that certainly impacts on your ability to tap into as much fat as possible.
PS even if it's true, 300% of "a tiny little bit of fat burning" still ain't that grand. My half hour AM walk MIGHT burn off 100 calories - less than half an ounce of fat.
got it thank you.
