I am about to buy an olympic bar and a couple of plates and going outside to do walking lunges. I think it will help my legs in building more muscle and give an alternative to squats. I also think it will look cool when people driving by on the street see me walking with that on my shoulders. I saw Ronnie Coleman do them in his video.

Does anyone else here do walking lunges? How do they compare in muscle building to normal barbell squats? Thanks.
