for some reason, i have a serious weakness with squats and it has nothing to do with the lift. its when i unrack the weight, it feels like a thousand pounds... i did 275x5 ATG pause and it was like butter, but the bar felt like it was loaded with 400+ lbs... any suggestions to bring this weakness up??
i figured heavy heavy walkouts would help... my deads are fantastic btw, and my upper back is super strong...
Maybe it's all mental.
A lot of it is mental. You could try doing squat lockouts to get comfortable with lots of weight to get used to it.
Start training your abs really heavy. A strong belly will make the weight feel lighter on your back.

what i like to do is stick my chest out and flex my upperback and traps when im doing heavier sets. and of course, taking deep breaths.
Practice my friend. You will get use to it. You might want to take smaller jumps in weight.
Squeeze the bar with a death-grip. Pinch your traps together and try to bend the bar across your back. If you can't keep your traps held together for the whole lift, your upper back is weak and you need to do some static holds with a band.
