    Hit a sandwich PR!!! but seriously, I strained my abs last thursday and i tried a couple of exercises today and I couldnt do anything. so, hopefully everything will be better soon and i can get back to it.

    thanks guys, the workout was definitely my favorite so far. the bacon cheddar fries are great. messy, but great.

    today's workout

    one arm DB push press
    (each arm for all sets)
    5 x 35
    5 x 45
    3 x 52? (used a kettle bell)
    3 x 70
    3 x 80 (PR!)
    3 x 90 w/ right arm. 1 x 90 w/ left

    curls

    jump rope 4 rounds of 2 min

    abs still causing me a good bit of pain, but i played with some stuff in the gym and found that i could do the presses with little pain. only hurt when the weight was fully extended, just the stretching of my abs i guess. feeling much better today tho. hopefully by the end of the week i will be back to normal.

    Glad your abs are getting better dude. Is that DB push press with a big leg push, or just a little bit? Either way, grats on the PR, that's some serious weight for one arm!

    Squat Work

    did a few chins

    1 x 225
    1 x 245 on plates to create a box
    1 x 255 assisted on plates

    rotator cuff work


    squats felt good. can't remember the last time i did them. just trying to get back into the rhythm. planning to go to Charleston next weekend to lift w/ homeyield. was told he would make me lift heavy, so i put close to my max on and did some heavy squats to try out some form work chubrock was making me do. my core is still hurting, so it was hard to keep my shoulders tight when I was squatting, that messed me up some, but overall, I was pleased. not bad for the first time back in a long time.

    they're bumper plates, so not that many, and we can just roll them across the gym, we don't actually have to carry them back and forth. pretty sweet actually. we use the plates because the boxes are too high and are way over parallel

    Nice squatting. We dont have any types of boxes in the gym and the benches are too high for my stubby little legs so I would have to stack 45s. How did you like it? because I've been itching to try them. I would steal the plates from those bastards that load up the leg press then move it 2 or 3 inches.

    kj - its cool man. you better find a good gym there since we wont be seeing you around the gym here. get stronger while you're gone. i want sub 4 min fran next time.

    oh, new weight i guess its safe to say. weighed 163 or higher for the past week or so, so it's time to update the sig. feel happy with this considering i've been pushing the crossfit pretty steady to stay lean.

    crossfit warmup - still cant do one glute ham situp yet w/ injury

    5 pullups - felt ok. can still fill it stretching.

    also did some push presses, thrusters, cleans, and other stuff to show my buddy some technique on some lifts. i don't claim to be a pro, but i know more than him, so i can help a little.


    Bench felt ok. Still hurts to arch my back/pinch my shoulders together due to my abs, but it felt good to do some heavy bench again.
    Deads felt solid. weight felt really heavy, but it went up pretty well. i look forward to continuing to work on these
