Oh god no not me. You! haha. I know I cant do 50 pullups, and I dont have a training partner to switch out with. Ive had trouble doing them since I tore something in my shoulder a few months ago. I probably could bust out the chins. Its been forever since Ive done em.

they are the same, are they not? all of them were palms out, if thats what you mean. and all were to a complete lockout, none of that half-way 45 degree pull-up crap. though, i did employ a kip

I always considered chins palms in and pullups palms out. I always go from a dead hang to try and get my chest to touch. Im glad you dont half ass either. haha

pulse - yea, i consider chins and pull-ups interchangable terms, but i do prefer palms out. it works your lats more and i dont care about working my biceps as much as palms in does. my palms out is stronger, plus i can kip more.

Nice squatting man! About the chinups/pullups... I also do palms out exclusively. But since they have been kinda hurting my shoulder I might try the others for a while. Id rather have a strong back then big arms anyways... cause the fact is at 150 im never going to have big arms lol.

Hey man, I'm gonna need to take some time and read through this journal. How you liking the Crossfit stuff? I did it for about 3 months last summer. Thrusters still make me vomit just thinking about them. I hate those things. Awesome job with the squats and chins lately.

kiaran - i like it so far. i've only been doing it off and on for around a month now. i'm already in much better shape. most of the crossfit workouts we do at our gym are way out of my comfort zone and ability, so it really pushes me to work hard. right now i'm trying to find a balance between putting on some good weight, but also trying to keep a low body fat %, so i'm trying to lift heavy and sprinkle in some crossfit to maintain a healthy weight.

chubs - always leave them wanting more. 255 may have gone up, but 245 was a solid number, and i have to leave something for next time.

Jogged 2.5 miles. I am really curious here. You are trying to bulk right? But with all this jogging and crossfit Im gonna have to say your burning way more calories than your going to be able to eat to have a successful bulk. Are you just trying to become a lot more healthy? Whats the deal here?

kiaran - i find that girls appreciate the extra attention that only a qualified stalker can bring to the table. and i dont time my runs, but i'm not running fast, if thats what you mean

pulse - no, i'm not trying to bulk. i'm not putting much attention on my weight. but i guess i could say that i'm going for maintenance. i'll probably end up putting on around a pound a week tho, bc i put on weight easily. i guess if i had to put a goal on it, i'd like to be around 165-170 by the summer, but just as, and preferrably leaner than i am now. to me, i'd rather be lean with the summer fast approaching

ok, so i decided that my triceps are a weak point in my bench. i had a very hard time locking out on the 5 x 5 bench, so i think i'm going to addd more tricep work on my upper days. time to eat a lot of food

Ahh not bulking cause you want to work on that beach body huh. Haha

Im curious here. You think your triceps are your weakness on the bench. You did the 155x5x5. And then for cgbp you had a set of 135x5. How hard was that 135? I was wondering because I have a huge weakness on the bench and Im not sure but I think its my chest. Because the 135 cgbp for me wasnt all that tough. But the 155x5 was pretty much all I had in me. Just trying to gauge if maybe its my triceps as well.

justin - yea man. i have to go pick up my sister from campbell. i'll be back to lift here tomorrow. i'll have to get up with you somehow.

pulse - i understand that if you struggle at the top portion of your press, it is a tricep weakness, and if you struggle on the bottom portion, it is a chest. on my 155 x 5 x 5, i would kill it off my chest, but would struggle with the lockout. for you, i'm not real sure whats going on, but it could be anything, seeing as how i dont know how your lifts are going. it could be a back weakness, tricep weakness, chest weakness...maybe explain your lift more

Well once I get it a few inches off my chest lockout is easy. Its just the part from my chest to maybe 6 inches off of it thats really difficult. Before I started working out you could actually see my ribs like where my chest should have been and I had literally no fat or muscle there at all. I do have a nice little slab there now thank god, so Ive always thought it was that. But then again I dont know where my back or shoulders fall into play during the lift. I can row more than I bench, my triceps are very strong in my opinion, my shoulders and chest I think are my weakness... Judging by my lift does that sound about right?

I can only shoulder press 40lb dbs and like an 80lb barbell for millies for reps. And I never do any chest isolation anymore

How's your setup on your bench? Your triceps actually seem pretty solid to me, seeing your CG bench is almost even with your regular bench. Solid dip work too; are you gonn start adding weight to it? Love the CF workout. Ropes and box jumps are my favorite. 24" box is awesome!
