pulse - yea, i'd say that is your chest. if i were you, i'd do some db presses or something. iso chest work, and i dont know how your form is. do you lift with an arch? and do you get good leg drive?

kiaran - my set up is i roll the bar to the back of the ledge, i push myself forward on the bench to force myself into a good arch, i pinch my shoulder blades together as much as possible, and i keep my legs under me so as to get a good leg drive. i say that it is a tricep problem just because i was struggling at lockout. i've been told that this is a tricep issue. i do have a weak chest, but my triceps were definitely letting me down. i could probably concentrate a lot on both tho. and the dips, i think i'm going to either drop to sets of 5 reps and add weight, or drop to sets of 5 reps and do ring dips. these are much harder to me. and the crossfit was just something i made up. i've never messed with it, but i actually enjoy the ropes too. one of the few cardio exercises i enjoy. and the box jumps are an area i would like to be great at. i want to dunk, lol

jed - thanks bro. i'm going to have to work my way into a decent bench number. its defiinitely a weak point

    TODAY'S WORKOUT

    wu and stretch

    DEADLIFTS
    135 X 5
    185 X 5
    225 X 5
    275 X 5
    315 X 3
    335 X 2
    355 X 1
    375 X 1 +10 LB PR...GOAL MET!!!

    BENT OVER ROWS
    115 X 7
    115 X 7
    115 X 7

    GLUTE/HAM BACK EXTENSIONS
    BW X 10
    BW + 14 lb medicine ball X 10
    BW + 14 lb medicine ball X 10

today i am happy. i had no intentions of maxing out on deads today, but everything felt solid and smooth. i've never done 375 before. i can honestly say that i am very surprised with this lift. the last time i did deadlifts, 345 felt very heavy and my form broke down, but today, everything just clicked and i had to take advantage of it. super pumped! i've hit my DL goal!!! now i'm just 5 lbs away from my squat, and i feel like i can already do that, its just a matter of waiting till my next max day on squat. the hardest thing will be getting my bench number. i'm going to have to put a lot of work towards that and really hit my upper days hard. but for now, i'm excited. time to edit my sig and eat some chicken.

Wow thats a huge deadlift! Yes I arch and yes I use leg drive. I dont do too big of an arch or use too much leg drive for reps because I feel like it cheats me on my muscle gains. But when I max I definately do the most arch and most leg drive I can.

chubs - thanks bro. get that back into shape again so we can both get to 4 plates

jed - thanks man. i can smell 405, but that seems like forever away right now. by june would be a pleasant happening

pulse - thanks, and yea, i was just checking to see what your form was like. and i definitely think that it is chest, especially since you said your cg bp is so strong, and the description of where you stall in your press. it seems that we are both pretty close to each other on our big 3 lifts

Your form looked really good today. I guess it paid off.
(My form was horrible today, and I am somewhat jealous)

You should enter the powerlifting competition.

justin - i was just on today for the pulling. and no, i can not waste $10 on a lifting competition that i have no chance of winning. maybe if all my other lifts were up to par with my pulling, but that is not the case

ok, so i wanted to share my victory milkshake i just treated myself to for my PR today

    SHAKE:
    lots of milk
    2 scoops Nitrean
    4 oreos

fattening, i'm sure, but delicious. not quite like a bako shake, but tastier

Hell yeah, bro. 375 on DL is no joke. 4pps is definitely in your near future. And you hit rows afterwards too; your back must have been toast. Really nice job! Nothing quite like hitting a big DL PR, is there?
