    Max Effort GM

So here's my max effort good morning this evening. Do you think it's deep enough to qualify for a true GM?

It says no longer available? Is that because you just uploaded it?

HB i think that qualifies as a true GM. i might go down a little further on mine, just to make sure i get that stretch, but i'd call that legal. how much weight is that? do i see 4 or 5 plates?

There are benefits to all levels of depth with GMs.. just like DLs.
    Looked pretty deep to me!!
I paused it at your lowest point... and got my protractor out... it measured around 77 degrees..

And it was a lot lower then Ano Turtianinen's GM..
    http://ironscene.com/view_video.php?...f6c61eed1a40a9

and just as deep as Mike Pelosi's (he is a trainer and top lifter at TPS - a top strongman/PL gym around Boston)

Now you friggin' beast.. that was awesome weight... great job!!!

I've always been to scared to even try goodmornings and end up doing a face plant. Holding 500 pounds and bending over is nuts man. I like how you almost knocked the rack over too at the end, lol.

Worse than that is the feeling in your hamstrings for the next few days. I don't experience DOMS for most muscles, but GM's kill me every time.

Don't look at as bending over. You have to move your ass backwards. Lower back and spinal erectors are stabilizers, glutes and hams are the primary movers. Otherwise you'll do a face plant. lol
