The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Recurring pain in left side..

A month or two ago I made a post about how I was having pain in my left side. Hurt to touch/press but was otherwise fine, but I went to the doctor because I was worried it was something internal. They determined that there were no organs in the area that could be causing it (which I had assumed), and they said it was most likely muscular in nature. Anyways, a few days later it was gone.

However, two or three weeks after that, it came back. I didn't think much of it, and again it went away in a day or two. Anyways, it's back today, and it's starting to freak me out a bit. It's on my left side (see pic). Only hurts when pressed, and only in a very small area. Low fever (99.4).

I also have no been to the gym since last Friday, so I don't know how I would have pulled or otherwise irritated a muscle, especially in my obliques. Pissing me off, lately I feel like my body is just falling apart.

It's probably not a hernia, right? It seems it's a little too high to be a hernia, and I have lifted heavy with it with no discomfort. But lately it has been there all the time, not painful but just a general off feeling on that side. There's no swelling at all. Originally I thought it was from the spleen or kidney, but went to the doctor and had both ruled out.

Lol, well I used to love legos as a kid, used to build huge castles in my playroom. Recently we moved to a small condo and my room is in the basement (I only use it during summer and school breaks), so a lot of old stuff is stored down here. That set will probably eventually go to my 4 year old nephew.

And... it comes back tonight. Going to call the doctor who checked me out last time, because I'm beginning to doubt it's muscular in nature unless of course it is a hernia. For one thing, it is isolated to such a small, specific spot that I don't think it would be something like a pulled or bruised muscle.

No, only discomfort when I press on it. The spot is about the size of a quarter, maybe slightly bigger.

Does it hurts after workouts? could be knotted muscles i have some by my shoulder blade and it burns with high rep stuff must be lactic acid getting stuck or something i dont know.

No, has no correlation with workouts. Haven't been to the gym in the past 3 weeks (due to a forearm and then shoulder injury), and it just came out of nowhere last night.
