I've searched the internet and there seems to be conflicting views on this. I believe the best answer might be to try it out and see what happens. I just started doing deadlifts recently so I'm not doing very heavy loads yet. I am thinking of doing deadlifts on saturdays and wednesdays.
Saturday being my legs day and wednesday being my back day. Deadlifts work both legs and back so I figured by adding them to the routine, it might be beneficial.
What do you guys say?
If you just started doing them it might not hurt you, but I don't see the need for you to do them twice a week. As Howard said, you can do a heavy and a speed day, but I would not recommend two heavy days.
everyone has different bodies and i say try it and see how it works for you. if your seeing progress and no body injuries, your golden.
i myself tried it but didnt like it. instead i did DE deadlift work on leg day and DE leg work on back day. when i squat heavy, i deadlift light. and vice versa.

I deadlifted twice a week every other week on my last routine.
However, I was also just getting back into lifting and it was only one set of five.
