Weight lifting shoes (Chuck Taylors?) in Canada

My actual lifting shoes are quite broken down and I'm looking for some new shoes.

Does anyone know where I can buy cheap Chuck Taylors online, in Canada (Quebec)? Or know of any stores in my province carrying them. I believe they're supposed to be cheap shoes, yet they're expensive.
Or any other recommended brand of shoes?

I've also read that they recommend selecting HALF (1/2) size down from our normal size, is that true?

I got mine at foot locker. I'm sure you can get them at any shoe store.

They either have the real ones or fake ones. Either way, cheapest around and still the same shoe just different name.

Never really understood the whole deal with Chuck's and squatting....is it because there is no real support around the ankle area so it is similar to barefoot, just with padding on the bottom of your feet?

Any shoe that is relatively flat footed, has alot of room in the shoe to allow for your feet to spread and well constucted siding to them. Chuck Taylors or fake ones are the best route. I still have yet to purchase them but I'm currently squatting and pulling in a pair of old construction boots and they work awesome!
