    Quick question

    Does a high calorie day affect you right away? I mean I'm not a SUPER slim guy that can eat everything in sight and not gain weight.....but I've just started to bulk this past week and my weight has been staying right at 172. The thing is that I am getting plenty of protein (140+ g/day) and eating a lot. Shoot yesterday I had 3400 calories.....but at the end of the day I was down a tenth of a pound.

    So how long should it take for me to start seeing weight gain?

    Wait at least 1 week.

    Your body will fluctuate in that time with water weight,backed up stool,etc with the increased intake.


    What are your maintenance cals?3400 cals should be more than enough surplus to cause a good amount of water weight gain the first few days.

    I wasn't really worrying about it before this week but I always ate whatever I wanted to.

    I actually went down to 171 today.
