hey guys, had a quick go at making a decent calorie shake today, but didnt have many ingredients to use.. so here is what i used/made:
1.5 cup Ice-Cream
1 cup Whole Milk
0.5 serve Weet-Bix(1 brick) *
1/4 Cup Milo Powder **
1 Tbsp Peanut Butter(crunchy)

so it tasted great, didnt take long, and took like 2 mins to drink!
i ran out of peanut butter, i would gladly put 2-3tbsp next time, and i can probably make it 1 serving of weetbix instead of 0.5
can someone tell me roughly how many calories that would have been?
and can someone suggest anything else to add to it which wont change the taste but will boost the calories!? next time ill definately up the weetbix and PB
yeh, unfortunately the milo website has no decent nutritional info, basically its just a chocolate malt powder for milk, apparently "energy food"! lol.. i just drink it cause i like the taste, makes plain milk taste better..
also ill be getting some weight gainer powder which will also get added to my shake..
Dude, make that 1/2 cup peanut butter instead of a measly tbsp .
Then you really got yourself a high calorie shake.

alright kool, ill make it 3tbsp of PB and ill put a full serving of weet-bix.. and soon to be adding some sort of weight gainer powder from a fitness store..
im going to go out and buy some peanut butter :P
ive also read about people using olive oil also?
would this be something to add in perhaps to boost the cals?

i havnt made it a custom food on my fitday account yet.. but just added the ingredients individually on there..
i made this one with 1tbsp of olive oil.. but i dont think i could add anymore than 1, i could totally taste it, and it changed the whole texture of the drink.. for the extra 119cal(according to fit day) i may not add it all the time.. plus when i get the weight gainer in there, should be a killer
the shake apparently adds up to 1156cal .. and thats NOT including the milo powder, which might add a little more i guess..
reckon i should down 1-2 of these a day with a peanut butter sandwhich? or try to have 1hr before bed?
