    Define CHEATING

    So what exactly is considered "cheating" in terms of nutrition and eating.

    I can guess the obvious, but what about protein bars that have chocolate in them?

    Breaking your meal plan or diet plan. That is cheating. The choice of food doesn't matter, but if your going to break your plan might as well do it for something tasty.

    Cheating to me means throwing your targeted macros and/or caloric intake out the window for a meal and/or meal.

    if the protein bar fits your macros, its not cheating.

    Exactly. If you plan to eat a a large pizza then it isn't cheating. If you planned to eat a cup of spinach and 7oz of chicken and instead eat 2 large meat lovers pizzas, then you probably just cheated.

    Thursday- 8 Cups of White Rice w/ Curry (Chicken, veggies)
    1 Watermelon
    9 Granny Smith Apples
    1 Large Domino's Pizza

    Today (monday), i had a checkup with my doctor, in regards to my weight, and he said, "your lighter than 4 days ago". Pediatrician basically told me, that until i gained at least 20 pounds, i should eat everything, no matter what it is, as a calorie is a calorie, so he basically recomended i cheat for a while 0_O S o today-------> so far

    Monday-->Ginger Scallion Sauced Salmon (1 lb or so at restuarant)
    12 Fried Pork Pecking Ravioli
    Kung Pao Chicken (Stole from dad)
    2 Bowls of Rice
    1 Bowl of Fried Rice
    2 Cups of Home-MAde Chili

    Domino's Pizza coming.

    Damn dude some of us are trying to cut here......right now my arm is starting to look pretty damn tasty!

    Amen to that. As long as you stay below target cals, a cut is a cut.

    I started by trying to jump into an unrealistic eating plan, then instead I started tracking *everything* with calories (even 5 or 10) in fitday. Along with checking my weight every morning. I'm at a caloric defecit, I shoot for 100g protein a day, and I work out when I can (I stick with dead/squat/bench mostly, adding in some arm curls and calf raises depending on the day).

    I've gone from 228 from joining WBB to 215.6 this morning. 12.4 lbs lost so far, to me, is awesome. No complex diet tricks yet, just keeping a consistant defecit and eating mostly what I like.

    Fitday says it estimates me at 205lb on 08/10/2007 and then 185 on 10/05/2007. My goal weight right now is 180. I don't plan on adding any muscle during my cut, I just want to try and keep my body from losing LBM. Once I get down to a BF% I'm happy with (ideally 10%) then I'll start a clean bulk.
