Thanks Coke! I really am seeing a difference from going during the week and on the weekend. One new thing that's been awesome is the pitbull style deadlifts i've been doing. I don't really know what else to call them, semi sumo would be more technical, but it has really put the life back into deadlifting for me.

    Saturday:
    Bench:
    warmup:
    245x2
    255x1
    270x0
    230x4 and 3/4ths

    Pullups:
    bw+10x7
    bw+10x7
    bw+10x7

    Seated OH DB Press:
    70x5
    75x5
    80x3

    Seated Row:
    140x8x3

    - Other things

    Sunday:
    Squats:
    warmup:
    225x3
    225x3
    275x3
    315x2
    325x2

    Deadlifts:
    -
    315x5
    345x5
    365x5

    Leg Press:
    6ppsx3
    7ppsx3
    8ppsx3
    9ppsx2

Awesome day today, My original goal was 315x3, but today was max squat day and I decided to throw 5's on the bar and hit another double. Today was one of the best days I've had in a while. I'm excited for the next few weeks, I really want my 315x5 on squat back and I really want to be pulling more than 400 again. My bench is much further along in the game than the other two, I would really like to catch up.

I posted this in the picture section: This is 3 years 7 months into the process:

I really believe that my new job is helping the progress, last summer I was a waiter on my feet all day and now I work for a technology distribution company and I get to sit and eat most of the day, It's amazing.

That being said, I'm sitting at about 175 lbs, last summer I went back to school in September at 163 lbs. This summer i'll be hitting the winter months at a solid 175. I'm really hoping to push 185 by the end of winter and looking forward to some good strength gains. I'm on a good stretch right now, no injuries, no worries.

Sounds like a plan, even if you get to 185 by next summer, you'd still be making above average gains.

Thanks Coke! Actually i meant that to be a 10 i have change that.

I wasn't able to go to the gym this weekend, I had to help my mom move to michigan. During the process i developed a small head cold and decided to take the week off., I"m already better, but I think the extra rest will do me good for saturday.

Bri, thanks for stopping by. I graduated in december and for a while my workouts were stale. I didn't have a whole lot of motivation, so I stopped posting.

Recently, my new style of deadlifts have put the spunk back into the weight room and I'm really trying to make some big gains again. I did work out the entire time I wasn't posting, more just maintaining and working on form.

    Bench:
    Warmup:
    225x6
    235x3
    225x5

    pullups:
    bwx10 - extra wide
    bwx8 - semi wide
    bwx6 - close grip

    BB OH PRESS:
    115x5
    135x3
    135x5
    115x5

    bb row:
    175x8
    195x4, 195x4
    175x12

    weighted dips:
    bw+45x8
    bw+45x8
    bw+45x6

    few other things

Today felt really good after being out a week. I'm extremely excited for squats tomorrow. My goal is 315x5 again. I've done this twice in my life, my short term goal is to make this a standard, my bench is way ahead of what the other lifts should be, time to really start focusing on this again, the pitbull style deadlift has really helped me put the motivation back into these workouts.

Kiaran: How you been man! I checked your journal a few times and saw it was locked =\ Glad to see you're still around. Thanks for the compliments, as for deadlifts, the Member, PitBull, use to pull semi-sumo. It wasn't as extreme as some of the other sumo deadlifts I've seen, but it wasn't conventional either. It don't lift with a belt, and I feel that I keep my form much better using this style, it's taken the fear out of screwing up my back.

I didn't post for a while because of a few life changes, full time job, moving into a new place, yada yada yada, all that good stuff, but I kept at the gym@! Thanks for stopping by!

Coke: I hope so ! Really looking to focus on deads and squats, bench....well it's a head of the others so it can wait.

    Bench: Volume
    warmup:
    185x5
    205x6
    205x5
    185x5
    185x5
    135x10

    db oh press:
    55x8
    50x8
    50x8

I was very sore and tired from the weekend. I used today as a volume, recovery day. Max deadlift tomorrow and pullups. We'll see how i'm feeling in the morning, pulled 405 last week, maybe 410 this week.

    Off Road,

Thanks for stopping by and supportive comments!

    Deadlifts:
    warmup:
    315x3
    365x2
    385x1
    410x0

    pullups
    ;
    bwx12
    bwx10

I wanted 410m 385 probably took most of my energy, but I wasn't feeling 100%. Front squats tomorrow, i need to add these back into the mix. I had a 275 front squat about a year ago, then stopped doing them. I would like to see these at or slightly below my back squat in the up coming year.

i just want to add a second note:

I need to eat more food, this is the hardest part of the entire processes. I need to find the motivation to cook. I eat really well some nights, and maybe skip a meal or two the next. this inconsistency is killing my progress.

Awesome man!!! I'm routin for ya on the 315 x 5 as a standard. I'm trying to just get back up to 315 for any amount of reps personally.

Do you have a video of these "pitbull deads" by any chance?
