The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Coke, Off Road, Kiaran:

Thanks! I guess the squats are O.K, I don't want to get too comfortable with them..otherwise I'll be O.K where I am with my training and I really want to be at the next level. I know that takes years, but I have lots of time ahead of me! I've also been trying to eat more, lots more.

    Bench:
    warmup:
    185x3
    185x3
    205x3
    215x3
    225x3
    235x3
    230x3

    OH BD Press:
    55x10
    55x8
    55x8
    55x8

I was going to do fast triples in the high 100's, a few in the 200's, but bench felt really strong today and I took advantage of the situation....as those days are rare! Deadlifts tomorrow.

Thanks man! The routine seems to be working. I like the short training during the week, it allows for quicker recovery and still leaves me with energy for work.

    Deadlifts:
    stretching and warming up:
    15 minutes
    ---
    warmup
    315x3
    375x2
    405x3
    415x0

I ran out of time after this so I called it. I was suppose to go yesterday, but I was just too tired. Im really happy with 405x3...but then I got to greedy and went for 415. Next time - Saturday is going to be a full body as I have a concert on Sunday@

i was sooo hungover today and had a throbbing headache the entire time. It took so much mental power to get up and do the lifts:

    Bench:
    warmup:
    225x3
    245x2
    245x2
    250x2
    245x2

    Squats:
    warmup:
    225x5
    275x3
    225x5
    225x5

    Pullups:
    bwx5
    bwx5
    bwx5

Called it at this point, I wanted to throw up everywhere.

No workout Sunday, went to go see the Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed Concert at Darien Lake.

    Bench:
    Warmup:
    205x5
    225x4
    225x4
    225x5

    Standing OH BB Press:
    95x8
    95x8
    95x8

Very tired today, it took a good 25 minutes to warm up for bench - My recently pulled/over exerted my right trap on the 405x3 deadlift so I've been stretching and doing full range of motion to try and get some blood moving, hence the 95x8x3 on OH press - using extremely strict form.

Coke: Thanks man! Seeing the concert was awesome, it rained in the middle of it and for some reason it just made it better!

    385x2
    415x0
    365x2

I don't know how you can squat all those reps after deadlifting heavy the day before. You must have a low back made of iron.
