The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

For a while, they were pretty helpful. It as a nice change and allowed some extra recovery. Recently, I cannot say.

My boy from school now works at the gym I go to, he's a natural bodybuilder. Got second in the Mr. Buffalo this year, he was pushing me to do some reps today.

I've been on this diet kind of thing for a couple months now, I'm still sitting at 188-190, but I can see a change in BF. My lifts are suffering a bit, so I'm adding in some reps to make me feel better. Still a good workout even though no PRs or anything. He tough me how to really do a good DB row and I could really feel it in the lats.

Yeah, I wasn't feeling the ME day, but I wanted to get a good workout in. I'm definitely going to be doing RE in stead of DE on upper body. I do like it for my lower though.

Today was a good day, did a refeed yesterday. In one meal I did chipotle, KFC, and a few ice cream sandwichs.

The bar came about mid shin. When I cam home, I measured the distance and it was 2 in.

Got greedy today and paid for it.. woke up feeling great and strong. Today was suppose to be squat day, but I've had such good dead lifting recently I decided to dead lift. Pulled 405 and pulled something in my lower back, called it for the day.

Foam Rolling - lower back & legs - 15 minutes
Low intensity Cardio - 45 min
    Contrast shower:
    Kettle Bell SLDL- 14KG x 20

Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not immobile tomorrow.

That's quite common Cards, just a few days rest is all you need for the lower back to heal - good luck either way.

    Fooz, Coke, OR:

I really appreciate the support! I took it easy this week, ate a good amount, and relaxed. Look like the R&R paid off.

First day doing rest pauses for my upper body. Some exercises were a bit light, but it's a great place to start. Looks like I hit Milies on the head.

Recently, I applied for the Project Intensity program over at Reactive Training Systems. That's suppose to start this weekend. I'm going to run that for the recommended 9 weeks and see how that works.

After Project Intensity, I'm going to be doing a DE/ME for lower body and DC style upper body. I've had a lot of success with my lower body on the DE/ME and while the progression is there with my upper body, I'm interested in the higher volume body building aspect of the upper body.

I'm excited for the change, for those of you that follow this journal from time to time, I don't change very often

Thanks, OR. There's variable levels of effort and percentages, but it's definitely going to be a challenge.

While doing this, I'm not longer going to restrict calories to help recovery.
