The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I'll be touching box squats this week. Real excited! How high is your box above parallel, 2-3 inches?

I try to have my box set at parallel, I know the two videos don't really portray that, but that's me not sitting down all the way.

Taking this week off from lifting. I pulled something in my neck on Saturday and wasn't able to move it. Its basically 100% better right now, but I'd rather be safe and wait for Saturday.

This weekend was intense...formal event Friday with the gf, buffet and open bar. Multiple parties on Saturday, and Sunday was spent recovering and getting ready for the week.

Even with all the failed attempts on Saturday, it was still a good day. 455 was very smooth; I probably could have pulled 475, but I got greedy and tried 495 a couple of times. Decided to drop the weight after that, but was very worn out. I'll give 475 a go in another few weeks.

Sunday was a good day, I took no advil and have 0 pain, but I'm going to take a gradual approach and do 5lbs a week.
