The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Maybe not a coach, but he competes with Olympic lifts. He's been lifting since 1977 and is squatting again with me this Saturday. Very excited.

Terrible at golf! Was nice to get out and play a few rounds though.

Just bought a Red Inzer 10mm 2 pronged forever belt, cannot wait.

This was my first powerlifting belt exactly, color and all, that I bought 10 years ago...it's still the belt I bench and pull with.

That's awesome! It's a really awesome looking belt. I actually ordered it from ebay. It cost me $80 when all was said and done, but I saved $10 and didn't have to wait for them to make it.

I'll post pictures once I receive it!

What are the opinions on belts these days? I remember there was hoopla about how they decrease core strengthening or whatever at some point.

That's heavy for just 52%. Good stuff. Not your first belt is it?

My opinion is get one. I mean are your abdominals used as supporters in any of the big lifts? Yes. But I don't think it hinders the strength development at all. IMO....if you want to develop your abdominal strength, ya gotta do accessory work for em.

BTW, welcome to the belt family. I have the same one in black.

Big fan of them, been using for a year or so now...maybe two. Definitely helps me stay tight and feel more comfotable with heavier weights.

Nope, I had a old handme down belt, but it's starting to fall apart. I think it's a 10mm, but I'm happy to have my own.

52% was based on my 475 pull. I have ME box squats this week to reset my %'s, GM's the following week, deload then ME sumo pull. Hoping for over 495+.

Agre 100%, I need to do a ton more upper back and ab work. Very excited for this inzer belt, I don't expect it to be a huge upgrade form my current, but excited none the less.
