Yeah, fabrication shop is going to be the way to go. Except I know if I get on a EFS line GHR I down right know I'm not going to be able to knock out 3 reps, and I'll have no way to measure the angle of the knee pad - so i could end up with a machine thats better suited as a hat stand.
Where do you live, Risk?
Personally, I'd just drive there and pick it up. Would be way cheaper!
I think Risk is an Aussie! Road Trip!!

900$? sounds a little rediculous too me.
Australia sucks when it comes to the fitness industry . We've got some suppliers and some good gyms and all that but it's nowhere near as mainstream or as accessible as it appears to be in america.
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Well, America has ten times as many people, too. That's one reason why, I'm sure.
Risk, couldn't you just do poor man's GHR's with some knee padding, the floor, and something to hold your feet?
Along the lines of what Guido suggested you could also do them on a lat pulldown machine either freehand or using a band. That's what I do, and while it's difficult to measure the exact workload due to variations in hand placement on the bands, it's still a very productive movement.
Thanks for the input everyone! I'll get incontact with Doris when my tax return comes in, its suddenly changed from my 1000$ American budget.
Guido and chris; I do try to supplement the movement with pull throughs, band pull through setup good mornings, legs in the lat pull down, swiss ball. Its not the one movement I want, that would be an expensive outlay for some glute/ham training. I could do endless exercises on a GHR, oblique work, plyometrics, etc. etc. Its an investment in my training.
Hey Risk... why don't you give the The University of Queensland
Powerlifting and Weightlifting Club a call???
Looks like there is somewhere in Brisbane that has them...
