Thanks for tuning in to the Wannabebig Iron to Ink's 5th issue!
Let's start with some forum news… We will be introducing a "Beginners questions" forum shortly on www.wannabebigforums.com The moderator team have been discussing ideas on how to effectively separate some of the frequently asked beginner questions on the forums as of late. We don't want to alienate newcomers to the site who are beginners to the iron game. Remember… We were all there once! But at the same time these types of questions are starting to overwhelm the bodybuilding forums. We will be moving very basic beginner's questions to this forum where they can be answered as normal. This should keep the normal forums full of interesting topics, and at the same time allow for beginners to still get quick answers to their questions. I would like to ask everyone to spend some time in this new forum, genuinely helping out our newer members as they look to construct a training, diet and supplement plan for their fitness goals.
On a side note, if you are a member of the forums and have not posted for a while, pop over and say hi! We would love to see you back!

I just want to finish with a little taster of what we have planned over the next 3 months at Wannabebig. We are considering some big changes to the site which will greatly improve the usability and look of Wannabebig. I can't say much more on this one apart from its going to be awesome, so please do keep watch this space! We are also going to be running competitions, selling our own t-shirts and running lots of new and interesting content for all types of trainers. Its an exciting time to be part of Wannabebig, and we appreciate each and every reader. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve any part of Wannabebig, we would love to hear from you. Tips and Tidbits Cut the Cardio to Burn Fat In order to lose one pound of body fat the body must expend 3500 calories. Sounds simple, right? The problem is burning 3500 calories without compromising the metabolism. Too much cardio and a caloric deficit cause this downward shift in the metabolism. The solution is to cut out cardio and focus on taking in the right amount of calories so you optimize fat burning in the body. If cutting out cardio completely is too drastic, then perform HIIT (high intensity interval training) instead 1-2 times a week. This will keep the metabolism humming along and won't interfere with your fat loss goal.
