Came home too late yesterday to update the journal. Good workout but my schedule was thrown off so I had no spotter when I benched
I was going to do the last 2 but when I went down I couldn't come back up, so I rolled the bar off to the pins. Still trying to hit my 3x5x295lb goal!!!

Whats next? 1x5x405 I've only done 405 for 1 rep, I cant wait and see If I can do 5. 385 for 5 reps was cake though.
Just because I was really tired after the 315lb squats I did:

That was easy for me, but I think it's too close to what I do for reps I think I may lower to 115 and work back up for the deload.
3x5x160- These are always the toughest exercise to do. I was completly sore afterwards.
Training not so good today. I've waited since I got out the gym Wed, for Friday because I was planning on hitting a 415lb dead for 5 reps. Well I was running late today, and got to the gym at 9:20. I didn't know that the gym closes at 10 on Friday's, I thought it was 12. I never knew because I've never been this late. I only had a chance to do squats Those weren't the best eathier because I didn't get to finish them, they wanted everybody out 10 min before 10pm.
I did do 315 for 2 more reps
Staying on SS for a little longer till I gain some strength back. Still taking ibupofen at night.
Squat: Currently deloading, going to work back up.
Bench: Deloading as well, working my way up again.
3x5x205 each rep was paused
1x5x415 EASY I was suprised, Im going to increase the weight 5lbs or so next workout!
I cant wait to do OH presses next workout on Wed!
Good workout today about 1:30 total because some of my buddies where there and we were chatting. Decided to lower the weight on squats for the deload, because last time I did 275lbs for my deload I didn't progress too much. I'll work up from this weight now. Only deloading on squats. I like to deload one excercise at a time.
Switched Power Cleans for rows. I just started doing them, and I honestly like them better then power cleans. I was just sick of power cleans. I mostly decided to switch because I cant do them in the garage (when I lift there) because its a concrete floor, and the plates are metal.

BTW guys, I'm going to switch my routine very soon to the Texas Method. I have the book, but haven't had a chance to read it.

I was mad at myself, and since it was my last day on SS I said Fu** it and finished off 2 sets with 85lb dumbells.

1x1x455~ FAILED again. Brought it up to my knees. Thought I'd be able to do it since I did 1x5x425 last weak.

Honestly 415 felt tougher then ever before.
Not that good of a day today. I guess it was time for me to switch from SS I've been doing it for a long time. Not sure if my deadlift was effected from the heavy squats or all the volume. I've been hitting DL PR's for a while now. I think I'm just tired, and deadlifted heavy 2x a week(every other week), and squatting heavy 3x isn't working for me anymore. I hope to hit some new PR's on the Texas Method. My routine is one that Zen made for me (thanks man!) It looks like:
sit-ups probably just 2 sets to failure but well see.
Front Squat 3x3
OH Press 2x5
pull-ups 2 sets to failure. I can only do about 10-15.
Squat to Heavy 5
Bench to Heavy 5
DL to Heavy 5
I cant wait until Monday!

I may use dumbells for the first few weeks of Texas Method then more on to a barbell again. Only to see if that will help my bench a little.
The new routine sounds great, the old one was a little overkill imo.
First TM workout today!

5x5x295! My legs are sore as Fu**

5x5x80lb dumbell. Easy, I just wanted to make sure I chose a weight I can do for 5x5.
5x5x205 First time doing this weight. Pretty tough. These beat me the most.
No time for sit-ups. I'll probably do 1 set of 100 before bed

Good workout today fellas I like how I can get things done faster. My workouts with SS were quick when I started but within the last month I've been spending too long at the gym because I was beat. I spent about 45 minutes today.
Working set: 3x3x225 ATF~ these were fun
Working set: 2x5x135~ Just making sure I got my form down pretty good.
Working sets: 1x3x185 1x2x185 1x4x175 1x1x175
Pullups: I switched from close grip to ultra wide grip. I was suprised I can do them this wide. This was as wide as the pullup bars let me.

Wow...great squatting. I've always thought of 300 as a magic number, once you can do 300 for reps you are truely a strong person.
