I was getting bored with 5/3/1 since my bench had pretty slow gains. I hit 290x3 2 months ago, but was only able to hit 295x2 and 300x1 the next month. I decided to try 30 lbs in 30 days. Obviously I wasn't expecting an exact 30 pound gain but my ultimate goal was to bench 3 plates and I am *happy* to say that I succeeded!
I hit 315x1 pretty damn easily...I could have probably doubled it. So I decided to throw on 5 extra pounds. They must have been 5's disguised as 2.5's because the weight felt so much heavier LOL. Well here is the video...its not too pretty but not too horrible either. At least everything remained in contact with the bench so it counts .
