    I would drop a few of the sets on your auxiliary work... drop to 2 or 3 sets... with 4 or 5 sets of everything, I think you're gonna overtrain. I would go 5 x 5 with your primary movements and 3 x 10 or 2 x 10 on your secondaries...

    alright keith. the days arent broken up, it was designed as a full body workout type routine. and the only things i added was one exercise per day for : chest and delts. im not talking lean like 7%... i just mean a not-fat 210. so in other words if i did a slow bulk to 210 by the end of the year, thats what i meant. i dont mean like a competition 210. 21-22 lbs in 9 months doesnt seem realistic to you? thanks for the input. (ps, i realize my post was misleading. i said bulked 210 vs lean. i shouldve said fat 210 vs normal 210, lol)

    painzer - alright, sounds fine to me. would 3x8 also work? when i only do 2 sets, it feels like i almost dont do anything.

    yeah 3 x 8 is fine... I just think when you end up doing doing 30 + sets of all your lifts, it gets really taxing.

    i think 210 is achievable too...

    k, guys... not gonna lie. DAY ONE WAS FANTASTIC. BEST workout i've had in literally months. sweat, pump, everything. even tho the bronchitis restrained me a little.

    full chins : BW 5x5

    BB mili press : 135 5x5

    seated bent DB laterals : 15's 4x8. these hit the medial and rear delts great.

    DB flyes : 30's 4x8, good stretch and hit outer pecs well.

    deadlift : 135 warmup, 225x3, 285x5, 290x5, 295 2x5, 295x8. bronch was getting in the way of breathing here, so i didnt go too crazy.

    hack squat : 135x10, 155 3x8... yeeow!

    CORE!!!

    not gonna lie, guys. todays workout felt insane. i am gonna finish the week the way i planned, and you guys will probably be right, it will be too much. so then i'll fix it like you all say. but today felt absolutely great, and if every other day feels like that too, then i think i'll stick to it for now. unless thats still a bad idea??

    good call with the 30 sets thing, painzer. it was a very tiring workout but felt awesome, but the TIME it took was pretty long. i'd say around 90 minutes. but it was alot more than usual, and core took around 15 of it.

    I think you're gonna feel it big time. Just make sure you sleep well... That's a TON of deads...

    Keep it the way you are doing and see how you feel at the end of the week...

    you did:
    Warm up
    225x3
    285x5
    290x5
    295x5
    295x5
    295x8

    You did closer to a 6x5... Just seems like a lot... Especially at circa 300 lbs. That's some heavy pulling!

    alright, fair enough. i planned on the last set being 5, but i usually just go for as many as i can if its my last set. is that a bad habit?

    ill see how i feel.

    I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad habit, maybe it just means you should bump up the weight on your 5 x 5

    Are you doing Starr's 5 x 5?

    good idea. its kind of like, though... the first 5 are great form, and then the next till fatigue i go a little psycho and form doesnt necessarily go out the window, but it gets less strict. i will increase poundage next time though since i successfully completed this 5x5.

    no, im not doing starrs. zen helped me build this routine prior to when i just edited it yesterday, and it worked wonders for regaining my strength from FB.

    post 2549 i showed a revised routine. its basically the same one i used, but i took out things i never did and added in 1 iso per day on chest/delts. just wanted you to check it out and give me your thoughts. you can read how the 1st day went.

    flynn - yeah it was. literally the weightroom for 40 minutes is : 45 people , 3 power racks, 3 benches, 3 clean stations. so alot of it is clogged till a while. thanks man

    zen - haha crazy, i wish! session was brutal. no i havent this week, either clean/press or clean/jerk will be day four this week, im having is a 5x3.

    day two was a success.. my lower back was aching today is all, the good way.

    bench : 135 warmup, 225 4x5, 225x7... bump to 230 5x5 next time??

    weighted dips : BW+35 5x5

    seated side laterals : 20 2x8, x6 (fatigue)

    BB rows : 135x8, 145 4x5... felt nice in middle back

    handstand pushups : x5, x6, x6. was toast for these!!

    weighted calves.

    done! will most likely add a jog to calves day too when it gets nice out. day 1 and 2 successful so far.

    Nice benching and dips man! Take care of that lower back too! This just hit me...On your BB rows I think if you try to keep the bar close to your body by flexing lats it should target your lats better if you are still trying to do that. Aim your elbows out like a lat spread.
