to get the maximum benefit out of my static holds, should i be using a regular grip or a mixed grip?

simply adding a mixed grip will help you grip more, so should i be using a regular grip so that when i actually do used a mixed grip, it's insane? or should i just use a mixed at a higher weight so that i'm more used to it?

I would suggest working on your regular grip. Fix that and your mix grip poundages will automatically shoot up.

it depends on what exercise you are doing...
