Okay, I'm going to do it. I've been avoiding posting my workouts but I think posting them will make me work harder. Right now I'm working out to get HUGE . Strength is okay and I don't want to get too fat. But I want to be one of those guys who walks by and people say, "That's one big S.O.B"

Here are my stats right now, all measurements are cold.

H- 5'11"
W- 293 goal whatever it takes
Neck- 19 goal 20
Arms- 20.25 goal 21.25
Forearm- 15.5 goal 16.5
Chest- 55 goal 58
Waist- 39 (ugh) goal 38
Thigh-30 goal 32
Calf-18.5 goal 20

As you can see I have a lot to work on this year, if I want to reach this by next year at this time. The good things are that I am cutting down on my work schedule. My job is actually counterproductive to putting on size and I have never really been consistent with my workouts. I've been working out for 10 weeks straight now. Much of the comittment has been because of a really good work out partner. Otherwise I can't really ever remember working out regularly for that long. I'm meeting with a BB trainer tomorrow to decide what type of workout will be best. Currently, I do low reps 4-8. One bodypart per day. I do Reebok core training board 2x weekly to keep up my core strength and agility.

For the next year I plan to go full force, no holds barred!!!

Any critiques, advice or inpirational cheerleading will be greatly appreciated.:strong:

Good luck with the journal. Sounds like you're already a big S.O.B. 20.25 inch arms! Holy Crap!

Arms 20.25" -- Calves 18.5" ??!?
You're already way bigger than I ever could be! :omg:

Have some :spam: for those arms. They'll need it.

Okay so today was leg day. It kind of sucked because my day was really hectic , I hardly ate consequently, I was really tired when I got to the gym. On top of that I forgot my belt.

Today I decided to concentrate on really squeezing the muscle and working on technique.

Squats (without belt or knee wraps- I've had 4 knee surgeries)
I taught a kick boxing class so I was pretty warmed up.
8x135, 8x315, 8x455, 8x495, 8x495
(I would have gone higher but I didn't have my belt)

Hack Squats 8x270, 8x360, 8x450, 8x450

Leg Extensions 10xStack+45plate, 10xS+2(45's), 12xS+2(45's), 30xS+2(45's)

Leg Curls 8xS+45, 9xS+45, 10xS+45

Seated Calves 25x135, 25x180, 50x225
Standing Calves 12x450, 12x450, 12x650, 35x650
1 legged calf raises 100 each side no weight.

Had two really good partners today. Work out was a little too long, 3 hrs, but I'm happy with the work I put in.

08-27-2003, 10:32 PM
Military Press 8x135, 8x225, 8x245, 6x275
DB Side Laterals 8x60, 8x70, 8x80
DB Front Raises 8x40, 8x50, 8x70
Rear Delt Raises 8x100, 8x100, 8x120
Shrugs 8x315, 8x565, 8x565, 30x405
Cable UR Rows 8xStack,10xS, 10xS, 20xS

My weight went down to 292 today. I need to eat a lot more. I'll try to bump up to 8000 cal tomorrow.

08-28-2003, 07:59 AM
Best wishes man, not that you need it because you are kind of ridiculous...crazy weights you are using!

08-28-2003, 08:13 AM
More :spam: for your journal. Dude, you can lift some insane weight!

08-28-2003, 08:21 AM
 80lb Laterals? Yea Baby!!!

:spam: :spam:
Looks like you probably need 2 cans...

at least.

08-28-2003, 08:26 AM
Thats pussy I use 90lb dumbells just to warm up my rotator cuff!

08-28-2003, 11:19 PM
Worked shoulders and traps yesterday so I think that it may have affected my weights. The work out was rather laid back today but I still got a good pump.

Chins- 10xbwt, 10xbwt, 7xbwt, 6xbwt
BBRows (Dorian Style) 8x315, 6x405, 4x405
Pull Downs- 8x220, 8x250, 6x250
DB Rows- 8x120, 10x160, 12x160

The DB rows were really easy but that's the heaviest DB's in the gym. I'll probably add Tbar rows next week. I really don't want to give up DB Rows because I get a lot out of them. So if anyone has any suggestions let me know.

My weight is also going down. Probably because I stopped taking creatine last week. I've been on it so long I figured by body needed a break. I'll stay off another 2 weeks are so and then load up again.

Oh yeah, one of my bosses told me that I was too concerned about the way I looked and my exercise was obssesive. He also told me that I should look into OA (Overeater's annonymous) because food should not control my life like it does. Isn't that insane? Anyway, I didn't say anything. I just didn't want to get into it. Besides I still needed to go eat and I didn't want to be late for my workout.:D

08-29-2003, 02:00 AM
Looks like I'm gonna have to book myself into Protein Anonymous then

08-29-2003, 03:29 AM
Jesus. You're a big dude. Mad strong bro. Have any pics?

You can do Beliel rows. (Rows with the EZ curl bar in one hand).

I just heard about these and will put them in my next back session. Just a thought.

08-29-2003, 07:37 AM
Beliel Rows, never heard of them. But I'll look them up. Thanks for the suggestion. As for pics, not yet but I'll probably take some after my bulking phase when I hit about 305lbs.

Today's chest day. I'm kind of bummed because I'll be working without a partner. I have to go into the gym early because I have a hectic schedule tonight.

08-29-2003, 07:48 AM
You won't find them on a search of exercise. They are named after a member of this site, Beliel. Check out his journal for more info.

08-29-2003, 10:02 AM
Psst... Belial's gonna come kick all of your asses if you don't stop misspelling his name...

I hear he's kind of quirky about spelling and grammar. ;)

08-29-2003, 02:38 PM
Belial- got it. Anyway just got home from working out. Luckily one of my partners had the day off and came to work out with me early.
The work out started at 12:30. I'm usually not even out of the house by 12:30. The workout started off pretty stale and slow. But after about an hour I was ready to go. I would have stayed longer but I had to pack it up and get ready for work.

Bench Press- 8x225, 8x315, 4x405(I tried to go too deep and fried my rotator) 1x405. This is down from last week where I did 4 for my last set.

Incline BP- (carefully) 8x225, 8x275, 8x315,5x315
Incline Flyes- 8x85, 8x85, 12x85
Dips- 20xbw, 15xbw, 15xbw
Hammer Wide Press- 8x360, 8x450, 3x540
Butterflyes- 10x110, 8xst, 7st

08-29-2003, 03:14 PM

What you would guess your bodyfat is at?

08-29-2003, 07:39 PM
My bodyfat is 14.92% I'm not going to worry about it for a while though as long as I don't get too soft.

08-30-2003, 03:20 PM
You are one strong mother****er. How deep are you going on those squats?

Oh, the DB rows I do started because the DBs only go up to 110 in my gym, and that's far from enough. So, essentially, you use an EZ curl bar, well clamped, and do 'em like that.

08-30-2003, 03:48 PM
Belial- Thanks for the info on the DB rows. As for my squats I try to go parallel or just below. I don't go rock bottom after 405. My knees can't take it anymore.

I was really up for a great workout today but then I got caught up in traffic and arrived to the gym only 1/2 before it closed. So basically today was a quick superset workout. I sweated like a pig but my weights were way low.

Alt- DB Curl- 8x45, 8x80, 6x100
Concentration Curls- 8x60, 8x70, 10x80
Straight Bar BB Curls- 20x135- I'm going to have to change bars it kills my wrists and elbows.

Tricep PD- 6x100, 6x110, 6x130
Beh Neck Tricep Ext DB- 10x60, 8x70, 6x80
Db Kick Backs- 6x110

The gym closed so no forearms today.

Nice set of workouts. Your strength is very impressive. I am curious how you attached 45lb plates to the leg extension. When I am limited by the stack, I usually place 5-10lb rectangular plates and/or dumbbells on top.

08-30-2003, 03:57 PM
I attach the 45's to the weight stack by inserting a long pin and placing the weights on it. When I use more than 1 45lbs plate someone stands by to make sure it doesn't slip.

08-30-2003, 04:46 PM
You have great strength. How long have you been lifting Xand?

08-30-2003, 04:58 PM
For at least 10 years. But it's been mostly work out for my new years resolution and then stop by Feb. Work out for spring break and stop by Easter. I've never worked out consistenly for more than about 2 months or so. Right now I'm on week 10 and the results are spurring me on to keep going. I've been really lucky, great genetics. I carry a pretty lean 240 ~10bf without working out.

08-30-2003, 05:46 PM
**** 240 10bf WITHOUT WORKING OUT!!I wouldnt **** with you!

09-01-2003, 09:23 AM
I met with my triaining guru Saturday. He knows his stuff, he is a trainer for a professional sports team. He basically told me I wasn't getting enough sleep, was dehydrated, wasn't eating enough and overtrained. He's right. He just wants me to eat and eat. I've deprived my body of nutrition so long (I've always been a relentless calorie counter to keep weight off) that now that I'm working out it can really use the food.
He said I should try to hit a buffet once a day.
Consume as many cals as I want.
Take a multivitamin and B-12 B-12 will increase appetite.
Drink more than a gallon of water a day.
He also said I should try to get to bed at a decent hour (before 3am).

I've been taking his advice and I feel better already. I got on my digital scale this morning and it read. "EE" I think rehydrating my body put me over the 300lbs mark.

I was really psyched for this workout; but unfortunately my partners weren't. They were both distracted with other stuff. Although it was not as high-energy as I would have liked we did have some personal bests.

Squats- 10x225, 8x405, 4x495 after this set I had to switch squat racks. SUCKED. The other one was so small that when I tried to go parallel my hand would hit the pegs. If I moved back my heels would be on a raised metal part of the rack.

Squats cont. 8x585, 8x585. I know I can go deeper and heavier in the other rack!

Hack Squats (legs close together) 8x270, 8x360, 8x450, 10x540

SLDL- 10x314, 6x405

Ran stadium steps 6 sets.

I'll do calves after my back workout tomorrow.

My goal for next week is 625lbs squat w/o wraps parallel.

09-02-2003, 09:16 AM
Damn nice session bro. I'm impressed every time I come in here!

09-03-2003, 08:29 AM
Tues. Sept 2, 2003

Chins- 8xbwt, 8xbwt, 6xbwt, 6xbwt
Bent over Rows(reg)- 8x185, 8x275, 8x315, 3x405
Naut. Pull over- 20xst, 20xst, 20xst
Close Grip Pull downs- 10x250, 10x250, 8x250
St. Bar seated rows- 10x250, 10x250, 8x290
Hammer Mach Seated rows- 10x235, 10x280, 5x320.

I was pretty proud of the weight I put up even though my shoulder was killing me. Doing Chins at 300lbs nearly ripped my arms out of the socket. I just need to be more careful. I've upped my proteing to 500g daily. The B12 is really helping me keep my appetite.

I'm going to the gym this morning to do calves and abs. Then later on tonight for CHEST.

I met a guy with 27" arms yesterday. I want those!

09-04-2003, 09:11 PM
Yesterday I tried Clenbutrx by VPX. I took a dose at 5pm and was completely wired. I found my self reorganizning my closet at 3am and cleaning my bathroom at about 5am. I also watched XXX twice. I finaly passed out at about 8am. But had to get up and go to work. SUCKED. I did, however, have one of the best workouts of my life. STAY TUNED.

09-04-2003, 09:23 PM
Chest Day, 9-03-2003

I was totally wired. Here are the results.

Flat Bench Press- 10x225, 8x315, 5x405, 5x425 (Yeah Baby)
DB Incl Flyes 8x80, 12x90, 12x100 these were super setted with
DB Incl Presses 8x85, 10x90, 4x100
Cable X (low) 15x50, 6x80 7x90
Pec Deck- 15x120, 6x195, 8x195

Tricep PD- 8x125, 6x150, 4x150 (my partner smoked me on these)
Tricep Dips- 15xbwt, 15x+45, 10x+45. (got smoked here too.)
One arm DB Behind neck, 8x80, 8x90, 8x100

Next week I'm out for blood. He's not going to beat me on those push downs!!! If you're reading this....be warned.

I was so cracked out this morning I didn't go to the gym today.
The Clenbutrx killed my appetite. DEAD!

09-04-2003, 09:40 PM
I usually only work with professionals or very advanced students. But the director of the company asked if I would teach a class with kids because she'd been getting a bunch of requests for me to teach. I accepted. Today was my first day teaching a class of kids ages 9-11. Two were scared to come in and another hid in a corner until her mother came to pick her up. I don't know why? Hadn't they'd ever seen a 300lbs man with tatoos, 6 piercings and 21" arms teach Ballet before?

09-04-2003, 09:50 PM
LOL!!! I think that'd make me crap my pants if I was 9. :evillaugh

SEPT 5, 2003

Shoulders- quick (in&out of gym in 45min)

Smith Military 15x135, 15x135, 8x225, 6x315, 4x365
DB Laterals 4x90, 6x80
DB B-Over Rear Delts 8x100. 8x100 (Need to go up to 120)

I tried to do DB presses but my shoulders were fried.

I'm trying to decide if I should keep bulking. I'm digging the strength gains but my abs are now a thing of the past, I've got a little hang over my belt and I'm having a lot of trouble finding cool clothes that fit.

Leg Day- Had trouble getting into it. My knees really hurt so I just kind of bummed around. I did manage to do squats 7x585
And SLDL 6x405.

September 8, 2003

Today I started my first week of working out at 6am.

Bench Press 8x135, 6x315, 6x405,4x425+1neg
Incline Flyes 10x80, 10x90
SS w/ Incline DB Presses 10x80, 10x90
Low Cable Xovers 10x50,10x60, 10x70
Hammer BP- 12x360, 5x450, 4x540
Pec Dec to Failure.

Overall it's a good workout. My Left bicep is killing me (at the insertion) so I was scared to do higher weight where it was stretching. It feels like it's going to rip right off the bone.

Holy **** 301lbs. What kind of BF% are you at.

09-11-2003, 05:08 AM
310lbs bro thats awesome. Crazy power aswell. Im sure if your gf doesnt appreciate your size you kind find some ladies who will go crazy over it. Impressive keep i up.

09-11-2003, 07:19 AM
My BF is the highest it's ever been probably around 17% or so. I'm not going to worry about it just yet. I'm loving the size and my poundages are going through the roof! Once the extra weight becomes non-productive I'll start a cutting cycle. But for now. 310...315...320 is my goal.

09-11-2003, 07:16 PM
Damn 301 at 17%

I feel small and fat at 213 at 25%:D

09-11-2003, 08:50 PM
DAMN!! What a freakin beast. 605X4 at the end of a back workout, and not to mention the 17% BF at 301lbs!! I want to be you when I grow up...

09-13-2003, 07:06 PM
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. But I took on a new gig that's kicking my a$$. I am working with 8 kids from a rehab in MA. I'm using education in the arts to help them refocus and become more goal oriented. I also got them all gym memberships, so they can learn the correct way to work out. Maybe it will help them develop a life long positive habit. Anyway, I'm with them pretty much 24/7. From wake-up to lights out. I'm also in their group therapy sessions and 12 step meetings. Plus I have my teaching schedule. Luckily I was able to have them come to my classes as part of the Texas experience.

09-13-2003, 07:29 PM
The rest of my workouts for the week were pretty poor because of the extra stress AND my joints are really beginning to ache. I had so much trouble doing tri's this week I wanted to jump in front of a moving SUV. I was pretty happy though with my shoulders. I did 8 military presses with 365.

09-13-2003, 07:58 PM
First time I visited this journal. Dude you LIE! You LIE! YOU LIE!@@!@!!@!!

Ok... now that that's done. Wow your a big/strong dude. Your military press is crazy. Don't you scare the kiddies :) You would scare me.

09-13-2003, 08:32 PM
yeah man post a pic, i would love to see how big you are

09-13-2003, 10:02 PM
GonePostal & John0101 welcome to my journal. The day I hit 310 my pictures will be all over this mo.

09-14-2003, 10:32 AM
Man, you're poundages are god awful Xand. You should be competing in powerlifting or something. You've got a ton of strength.

09-14-2003, 10:46 AM
Thanks Shane, I've been lifting heavy to put on more size. But my buds who are powerlifters kick my A$$ in poundages. But I look better:)

09-14-2003, 10:46 AM
yeah man, do some strongman competition, or be a superhero!

09-14-2003, 01:19 PM
Looking forward to the pics... you're probably as big as a pro!

09-15-2003, 02:22 PM
What is your diet like?

09-15-2003, 08:47 PM
My diet is not good. Let's just say the dollar menu at McDonald's is my best friend. When I started bulking I tried to do it the right way and just could not eat all that food. At my weight I should be eating about 7,000 and closer to 8,000 because of the physical demands of my job. So no I dring about 8 protein shakes, have 2 meals at McDonalds. I eat sandwiches and salads only. No fries and then I'll make dinner at home on the good ole George Foreman. I try to make sure I take in 500-600 grams of protein daily.

09-17-2003, 08:08 PM

LOL, that's awesome. I hope to one day spark that kind of reaction from people. :D

10-18-2003, 01:18 PM
Dude I just read your whole journal. Then after I craped in my pants I decided I should just say WOW! Are you still taking the anti inflammatory for the joints?

10-19-2003, 06:33 PM
You should post more often.

I will just mosey on in here whenever I need a little extra kick in the ass for my motivation.

10-19-2003, 10:09 PM
Justin: Yeah it is cool.
Squarehead: I'm still taking them but they don't seem to be helping too much.
Carolinagirl: Thanks for stopping by-- I'm planning on posting a lot more often.

Just got back from MA I did 2 shows in the Berkshires and caught the last quarter of the Harvard. Most of my friends there haven't seen me for about 9 months so they were truly shocked. I didn't get much sleep. I worked my butt off and consequently took in less than 5k calories the whole weekend. But I'm ready to work out tomorrow. Chest at 6am.

10-20-2003, 01:32 AM
Xand - Maybe I missed it, but what shows do you do? Bodybuilding (I thought you said you were like 17% BF)? Powerlifting?

Just read a couple pages.....completely f*ng impressive. You're already BIG on your way to MASSIVE! Joint pain blows! But I saw you were doing a cycle maybe consider throwing a joint friendly compound into the mix? A FORMER workout partner of mine swore by Decca ,I wouldn't know for real but from the info I've heard maybe something that would ease the joint pain a bit.
SOLID lifting dude! That's a real serious bench press you got there!

10-23-2003, 03:11 PM
The anadrol and viox supposed to be taking care of the pain.

10-28-2003, 08:07 AM
Jebus you be strong! I feel so tiny.

10-28-2003, 08:58 AM
AWESOME "light" (cough) leg day.......damn man........big weights!
Viox? I hada little sciatic nerve pain going on for a while.....the only thing that helped? Celebrex.....if joint pains persist give this stuff a shot.

11-04-2003, 07:58 AM
Wikked- thanks I'll try that Celebrex.

I've been working my a$$ of lately so hard that I lost 6 pounds this weekend. I've been working with some stunters from Cirque du Soleil. They are so friggin' strong. They breezed through my warm-up. One handed push-ups, one legged squats, static holds, 100 v-sits. This guy even did 60 handstand pushups without a wall to lean on.

I'm having trouble gettin on line with my laptop, (I'm on the road) so checking in will be difficult over the next two weeks. I'll check in whenever I can.

11-04-2003, 08:04 AM
That's gotta be cool those guys are AWESOME (I've seen some of the acts on HBO)....awesome stuff and you get to work out with them!!! Look who's talking dude you're pretty F****** strong so these guys must be very impressive to say the least. Enjoy the road!

11-09-2003, 03:30 PM

 You coming back any time soon?

11-12-2003, 08:32 PM
Finally a friggin day off!!!!! I've been traveling back and forth from MA to Vegas every day for the last 10 days!!! I'll be doing Vegas from TX for the next 4 days and then I'll be off for a few weeks. I have an audition for a Janet video next month so I've got to start cutting some pounds.

I have to cut for an audition and I'll probably take some publicity pics for work in January. I'll start bulking again in the late spring after my work season slows down.

Short term goals- 262 at 10%

11-14-2003, 02:53 PM
Oh hey JUSBU, I'm going to teach a master class in January the week before finals. Sign up quickly. Last year, the class closed the first day it was announced. I'm glad you joined the board.

11-14-2003, 08:30 PM
It is amazing that you can bench so much with so few calories and no carbs. My workouts suffer if I am just a few hundred calories below normal.

I was helping to create new stunts for Cirque. If you're in Vegas this weekend you gotta check out this guy. He's a Prince impersonator who is going to go big time. He's not in a big hotel yet so you gotta ask one of the locals about him. When I unpack tonight I'll see if I can find my ticket stub and PM you with the info.

11-15-2003, 08:41 AM

I just finished reading your entire journal and I must say that you are definitely not lacking in the strength or size department.

11-15-2003, 09:59 PM

11-17-2003, 10:54 PM
Good luck with the fight!

11-18-2003, 12:43 PM
Thanks Chase, I'm down in weight . That means I'll be fighting down a weight class- probably a much smaller and faster guy.

Was pretty p.o'd by the time I got to the gym b/c the cable guy never showed up to put in my new internet connection. Had less than an hour to train before I had to go to work. Almost cancelled my lessons today but figured I should bite the bullet and go teach. I fight tonight at 9:30pm.

Tuesday, Chest, 293lbs.

Flat Bench- 10x225, 8x275, 6x315, 4x365, 1x405, 3x425, 3x425, 5x315, 5x315 (I had to use a smith machine because there were no spotters available. It throws off my form so I had to go lighter than I wanted.)

Incline BP- 8x225, 5x315, 6x315, 4x365

Weighted Dips 6xbwt, 6xbwt+45, 6xbwt+45

Tried to do cable cross overs but they killed by wrists and elbows. ???

11-18-2003, 01:04 PM
Good luck with the fight, Xand.

I guess the new cycle is a Test/Tren cycle, or Test/EQ?

11-18-2003, 01:08 PM
hmm. just saw your other post. test/tren/eq/anadrol, huh?

what - you couldn't find anything else to throw in there? :D

11-18-2003, 01:09 PM

He may be smaller and faster but he better prey to god you don't connect.:evillaugh

11-18-2003, 06:40 PM
3x425 is going lighter? :omg:

11-18-2003, 08:15 PM
How'd the fight go?

11-19-2003, 09:01 AM
Knock Out-- 2:15. Felt like the longest 2 minutes in the world!!! (At my weight, I'm not at the optimal cardiovascular shape. ) I just couldn't catch him. He was alot smaller 238. He was pretty fast and gave me a good couple of shots to the head. I stunned him with a good right cross. KO'd with a spinning back to the head. He didn't even see it coming.

My head's pounding like a mother! Today's leg day. We'll see how that goes.

11-19-2003, 09:19 AM
Awesome! I should have gone with you to see this in person.

11-19-2003, 09:26 AM
That would be cool. Next fight is in January.

11-19-2003, 09:28 AM
Whats your January goal weight? I'm assuming you'll be back up a weight class...

11-19-2003, 09:30 AM
I hope to be back in the unlimited class.

11-19-2003, 11:11 AM
What kind of fighting do you do?

11-19-2003, 11:49 AM
damn u are a strong dude. I'm curious to see how this cycle will treat u, I'll stay tuned.

11-19-2003, 12:20 PM
Mixed Martial Arts. I study Kick Boxing and Krav Maga.

11-19-2003, 12:32 PM
TKO = ...nice job bro!

11-21-2003, 07:29 PM
Felt kind of like a loser today. At the gym 8:00pm on a Friday Night. Just got back from a business trip and wanted to get a work out in.

Close Grip BP- 10x135, 10x225, 10x275, 10x315
BH Neck DB Ext- 10x70, 10x70, 8x80
Str. Bar Tri-PD- 5x150, 5x150, 5x150

DB Curls- 10x60, 10x70, 8x100
Inc DB Curls- 5x45, 6x45, 6x45
Seated BB Con. Curls- 10x150, 10x150, 10x150

Things are going well. I'm feeling really strong but my joints are still killing me. I've started some extra sups that are giving me some awesome pumps. Today after my workout, I couldn't reach my shirt collar to fix it, I was so pumped. I'm back up to about 300lbs. My digital scale goes haywire when I step on it. But the scale at the gym says 296. And since I'm back on carbs I've filled out alot. My appetite is not there though. I'm forcing myself to consume food. So I know I'm not getting nearly enough calories. I'm not going to worry about it too much as I figure my body will let me know what I need. I also started my Eq earlier than expected. I'm going to use it throughout the whole 12 weeks.

I'm also not going as heavy as I'd like to. I think I've been working out in the 4-6 range for so long that doing 9-10 reps is really going to stimulate growth plus it'll be a little easier on the joints although harder on the ego.

11-21-2003, 08:29 PM
Good god...he's big and can fight. Remind me not to piss you off.

11-21-2003, 10:26 PM
Hey Xand, we must have just missed each other tonight.

I agree. The change in reps is going to shock the crap out of your muscles. That should be good for some growth.

Workout looks good. Damn you and your 100lb DB curls! :)

Awesome, do you wear any protective headgear or gloves?

Just curious cause I yesterday I downloaded one of those Ultimate Fighting Championship Videos and it was simply insane. I bet you could do well in that also. I'm not sure if they still have UFC though.

11-22-2003, 11:34 PM
We wear headgear in my org. I wouldn't do it without unless I was getting paid mad loot. My goals are to get to the UFC.

11-24-2003, 08:57 AM
You get that celebrex yet dude? Your joints will be thanking me when you do.....trust me. Awesome reading I didn't know you were into the fighting scene too damn guys like you are just scary as hell! It'll be interesting to see what the tren is going to do for you you're already strong as hell!

11-24-2003, 09:17 AM
Me too.

I call next if it doesn't kill him!

Good luck with the UFC quest. That's some rough ****!!

Just couldn't get motivated today. I tried everything. Ephedra, Coffee, watched the Olympia...

I'm going to look at some other gyms today, for a change of environment.

Pull Down Front- 10x130, 8x180, 6x200, 4x200, 1x250 (Acclimation Set)
Chins- 4xbwt(298), 6xbwt(298)

Seated Rows- 10x300, 10x300 (Even with x-tra plates this is the heaviest I can go at the gym.)

Dorian Rows- 6x405, 6x405

That's all she wrote. I may try the HIT train every two days method. I'll do some research and see what people say.

Maybe you just need a break, big man. Time off is usually a good way to get fresh and get back to things strong.

HIT is not the way to go, IMO.

The change of atmos. was just what I needed. Yesterday, my upperbody was just a pile of mulch. Everytime I tried to move my arms I got severe cramps in my chest. DAMN woking out is cool!

Tried to do a little work in the gym today. Here's what I could muster.

Thanks for the pos guys. I'm lovin' the new cycle, atmos. etc. my joints are killing me though. But I feel like a kid again. I wish I could just build a room and live at the gym.

I am in disbelief bro, from the 465 bench to the 120 DB curls - Awesome!

I see you have ignored my post.

I am not being skeptical. I don't have a huge problem believing a 300 lb man can curl the 120s.

I would love to see it. You must have access to a video camera. Get a video and post it.

I am sure I am not the only one who would love to see it.

11-29-2003, 10:35 AM
I would assume the ignoring of the post stems from another argument between the two of you.

I myself do not need video proof of everything everyone does. Myself I tend to take people at their words until they give me reason to do otherwise.

Xand Keep pounding

Chris Mason Best of luck.

Can you not read? I would like to see it for the sake of seeing it not because I do not believe him.

Have you ever seen someone do that? I haven't. I have seen someone incline 405 for 4-5 strict reps and it was very impressive to see. Seeing him curl the 120s would be equally impressive.

Oh, best of luck to you as well.

Chris- Actually I didn't ignore your post. I just didn't know how to take it. But this quoted response once again speaks for itself. I really don't want to get in this with you because you'll just delete my posts like you did last time.

Like I said in my pic post, it took a lot for me to post "real life" pictures up and you harrassed me. So the very thought of posting anything again is well...not something I'll do anytime soon.

middee1- I have your philosophy. Why live in the negative?

You didn't know how to take it???

Ok, let's take a different approach. I believe you about your weight and everything else. I like to see big weights moved. I would love to see a video of your curling the 120s.

What exactly could I bitch about there? Your form would be irrelevant because I am not a stickler for super strict form on curls. I just would like to see it. Period.

I give you my word I would say nothing negative about such a video.

As to deleting your posts, I also deleted mine. That thread had taken a stupid direction which I thought was best deleted. I left the first of each of our posts in there and then left it at that. I did my job as a moderator on your posts and MINE.

Very impressive workouts, as usual.

You have mentioned pain in your joints in a few of your posts. Such pain is not uncommon among bodybuilders since muscle often grows at a faster rate that joints and connective tissue and takes less time to recover. In addition, some types of AS can futher contribute to the problem by effecting water stores and muscle growth. Going through periods with lower % of max lift may help recovery, as well as supplements such as glucosamine/chondroitin. I would also suggest contacting your doctor, as there are good number of effective prescription medications. Note that you may wish to ask your doctor how such medications would effect your bodybuilding. Large doses of NSAIDs and anti-inflamatory corticosteroids can all negatively effect muscle growth.

12-01-2003, 10:12 PM
Nice workouts, Xand. Congrats on the progress, and the newfound motivation! I'm glad things are going so well for you.

Everyone's asking about you at the gym. You should hear the outrageous story I fabricated to explain your disappearance. ;)

So... you're a WBB baldy now? I've got to see this... :D

12-03-2003, 01:50 PM
AWESOME work dude. Superbowl tickets? OH man how sweet is that?......I was hoping to read the Celebrex helped you out with the joint pain ....damn! Glad to hear things are going well again in the gym big guy. Keep pounding those massive weights!

12-14-2003, 12:05 PM
Little bump for you big man

12-16-2003, 08:18 AM
Have to lay of the weights. I have really bad joint pain to the point where I can't straighten my arms without my elbows popping and getting out of my truck is a feat of intestinal fortitude. The doctor said I could do some light lifting (What's that?) and to be careful because the drugs were just masking the pain. I went to the gym and tried the light lifting and decided to just take some R&R It's been about 2 weeks and I'm going crayz. But hopefully by Jan I should be able to whoop some a$$ in the gym again. I hope I don't lose too much. I'm down to 290.

12-16-2003, 06:59 PM
HOLY CRAP that one pic you posted of where you'll look like that in 16weeks, can that guy even reach his back to take a shower? Damn he looks like he has no range of motion besides curling or pressing.

12-17-2003, 07:31 AM
Oh man sorry to hear about the joint pains that are still plaguing you.....that really sucks! Well a couple weeks off isn't so bad it could be much worse. Enjoy the rest and heal up real quick bro!

12-17-2003, 07:42 AM
Dam that sucks. I doubt you will lose much though, hopefully the time off will let the joints heal or whatever it is they do:) Usually a week or two has always healed up any minor injuries I've had like shin splits, bad ankle, a muscle that was hurting more than normal, etc.

12-21-2003, 06:24 AM
You row 405 and do pullups at a bodyweight of 300+lbs...

Remind me to never... ever... make you mad.

12-24-2003, 08:06 PM
Hey big guy,

12-25-2003, 06:21 AM

01-13-2004, 09:15 PM
HEY ALL!!!!!!!! Happy New Year! Hope everyone has a huge 2004! As form me things are not so big. I had a b-day-- Jan 1. I was hoping to rock about 310lbs but because of my joint pain I had to lay off the weights it's been about 6 solid weeks and about 3 weeks of trying to workout with no avail. But all is good and I'm looking to get to 310 pretty soon.

My style of training will be drastically different. I'm not going too heavy any more. I'm going to train only for size. I'll be doing volume training in the 8-10 range.

Here's my diet:
meal 1-- 6 whole eggs with 1 cup oatmeal
meal 2-- meal replacement shake with a liquid carb (gatorade or ultrafeul)
meal 3-- 1/2 pound of chicken (8oz.) of chicken ( or turkey or filet of sole or shrimp) with 1/4 cup cashew nuts (or almondsor walnuts) with 1 cup rice
meal 4-- same as meal 2
meal 5-- 1/2 pound (8oz.) of red meat ( or salmon or swordfish) with a green salad w/1 tablespoon of olive oil and vinegar with 1 baked potato and or yam
meal 6-- same as meal 3
meal 7-- same as meal 2
meal 8-- 6 whole eggs with 1 cup cereal.

I'm down to 281lbs arms 19.5" want to bring them up to 22" before I do another weight drop. I've been eating like Sh*t. I have no appetite and have been trying to force down a meal a day.

But I got inspired last night to hit the gym today. I was going to start next week but oh well.

I woke up this morning... watched Blood and Guts and headed out to the gym. I forgot to eat. (Damn, I need to work on that!)

Dorian Rows- 8x225, 8x315, 8x315, 8x315, 8x365, 6x365
DBell Rows- 8x100, 8x100, 8x120, 8x120
Cable Pull Downs- 8x200, 8x200, 8x200, 8x200
Close Grip Pull Downs- 8x200, 8x200, 8x200, 8x200
Deadlifts- LOST MY STEAM- 315x4, 315x2- I was wicked tired. So I went home for some food.

Well, that's all folks.

My Back started killing me yesterday, so bad that I couldn't get out of bed so I took it easy today. I went to the gym did 6 sets of pulldowns with 170 and then got on the Pilates machine to stretch out my back. Then I did a 10 minute ab workout my abs are really weak but I think it has something to do with my lower back. I'm going to skip squats this week. So that I don't aggrevate it more.

Otherwise I'm feeling pretty thick. The weight is coming back super fast and I'm not even eating that much. I saw T at the gym tonight and he's f'n huge. Just a lil jealous. But what the hell, I'll be back soon.

My schedule's getting mega crazy because of superbowl rehearsals. It'll be nice to get some rest next Sunday night.

01-20-2004, 11:06 PM
LOL, I forgot to tell you that after you left the gym last night, red sweater gym girl came up to me and made a comment on how big you've gotten. I had to agree. So... apparently you're still lookin' pretty swole yourself there, big guy!

I was thinking the time off did you some good. It looks like the vast majority of any weight loss you had was the good kind of weight loss. Don't pack it back on too fast!

Anyway, I wanted to tell you what she said, and also remind you to ask her about October. :evillaugh I'm thinking of changing her name to red sweater calendar girl! ;)

01-21-2004, 08:35 AM
Hope the back feels beetr soon bro. Good call with skipping squats. Glad to see ya posting regular again, I enjoy following your progress.

01-21-2004, 08:53 AM
I like JustinF also enjoy watching your progress. It's not everyday you see someone with your strength and size. It makes you think, "hey that guy must be doing something right."

It was ok but I can do more. I need to find some motivation in a bottle. FU*K I miss ephedra!!!!

01-27-2004, 10:36 PM
JustinF- I have to laugh at myself. Everyone else is too scared to laugh.

Yep, I'm gonna miss the workout crack, too, when they ban it. But until that day, every leg day will begin with a bottle of speed stack.

01-28-2004, 03:23 AM
JustinF- I have to laugh at myself. Everyone else is too scared to laugh.

LOL. Can ya blame them? :)

01-28-2004, 08:51 AM
Stock up on the ECA stack now before the ban.....or are you withdrawing on your own?

01-28-2004, 12:40 PM
I know I'll by some ECA's and other stuff. Sold my Superbowl tickets today. Paying of the Visa card and getting some gear.

BACK DAY- Being Very Careful for another week or so--- Long warm up

Pull downs- 8x200, 8x200, 8x200, 8x200. 8x200, 8x200
Hammer Rows- 8x235, 8x235, 8x235, 8x235, 8x235, 8x235
DB Rows- 8x140, 8x140, 8x140, 8x140
Close grip pull downs- 8x200, 8x200, 8x200, 8x200

Just have to say that I feel like the ultimate Pu$$Y. I hate this full range of motion, feel the muscle work, 8 reptition crap. I miss being over 300 lbs. I miss having to find a sturdy chair before I sit down. Or having to turn sideways to fit through my bathroom door. I miss the teller's jaw dropping when I stick out my arm to pay for my 5 double cheese burgers, 2 apple pies and large Dr. Pepper. I miss having to wear a XXXL. Having to ask my roomate to adjust my collar, not being able to talk on the phone too long because my bicep gets tired from contracting that long. I miss using outrageous weight and feeling the veins pop out of my forehead as I try to push it up before it kills me. I miss big guys telling me I'm a big MF and random girls coming up and asking me if "all my muscles are that big?". I miss stepping on my electronic scale and it reading, "ERROR" or looking in the mirror, throwing up a double bi and saying, "Damn, I'm huge." (Yes, I actually did that.)

I'm about 290 eating really clean to put on "good weight." I hate it. And then my agent calls me and asks if I'll drop more to be in a stinking commercial. Is it worth the 2 or so grand to completely demolish my self-esteem and hard work. Do I need therapy?

Why be functional when you can be HUUGE?!?

01-28-2004, 02:35 PM

That is all.

Check out this dude.

It looks like that pics been modified though. See how the ceiling tiles are all warped around his left shoulder. Still be a frightening dude to meet on the street though.

I think you are in the wrong job if you have to lose weight for a commercial or something. It goes totally against everything you are doing, by building up massive amounts of muscle. I'd absolutely hate that. Hell I hate cutting period but even being that big, that's just got to be something else.

01-28-2004, 11:34 PM
You're right it screams "photoshop" BUT hell one can dream.

01-28-2004, 11:37 PM
I can't argue with you there. I'd just like to be that striated or look like he probably does in the off season. Talk about being a monster. That big and in the off season. Nice.

I'm still trying to keep my weights light as my joints begin to get used to the weight. It's getting better so hopefully by next month I'll be back full throttle. I got a great pump in my tries but not much for biceps so I'm probably going to have to put in some barbell curls next week.

I called my agent and decided to get off the roster until May. Hopefully, I can survive without working until then. My new business is far from turning a profit but I'm working my a$$ of to get it off the ground.

Getting off the roster is a nice feeling. I don't feel like I have to look any which way. I can finish my cycle in peace!

I tried to work out today after getting home at 6am. I wasn't tired but completely on edge. The cool thing is, I'm stay living at a hotel this weekend to avoid Superbowl traffic and my friend who is the manager of the hotel put me 2 rooms down from Britney Spears. Hopefully I'll get to see her and say, "hi"

Anyway, I went to the gym and Miss October was working out. She was grunting and sweating and for some reason grossed me out. She may be getting too big. Well anyway...

Military Press (Smith)- 8x135, 8x225, 8x275, 8x315, 8x315
Dumbell Laterals- 8x60, 8x60, 8x60, 8x70, 8x80
DB Militaries- 8x80, 8x90, 8x100, 8x100

Started getting agitated because she was near me so I left. I'll go to my other gym after my show tonight.

01-30-2004, 10:16 AM
You know, she was talking about being too big the other day while we were looking at the Bench Press competition pics. "Look at me! I look like She-Ra!" I had to laugh.

I dunno though. I kinda like the grunting.

Dang! 315x8 on the Militaries? TWICE!?!? man. I eeked 315 up twice last night and thought I was 'da sheeit. nope. You da' sheeit! :D

Got to the gym today after a very late night. One of my old clients (ironically I used to be a substance abuse counselor) called me at about 1:30am wanting to commit suicide. I talked him down until he fell asleep and then was able to contact his brother to check in on him. Got to bed at about 6am.

Workout 10am:
Incline DB 8x225, 8x225, 8x315, 8x315, 4x365 - If I'd taken more time in between sets i would have got more.

Pec-Dec 8xstack, 8xstack, 8xstack, 8xstack

Low Cable Xovers- 8x90, 8x90, 8x90, 8x90, 8x90

Had to get going.

Cycle is going well. I was supposed to start DBol today. But I'm afraid of gagging.

02-02-2004, 03:34 PM
Xand-that is too bad to hear about your client. That field is the same one that I tried to get into when I came out of college. Tough job, but very rewarding. I did an internship at a youth home here in colorado. worked with alot of different kids but couldnt really do counseling. Think I helped a few kids out though.

02-02-2004, 08:13 PM
Damn Xand, you're a strong ****er. I need to read this journal more often. How long ya been in the iron game?

Did you meet Britney?

02-02-2004, 10:47 PM
Why do you gag on dbol? Can you not swallow pills well or are you taking liquid?

02-02-2004, 11:07 PM
Hey Justin- thanks for stopping by. I've been working out since highschool but it's always been like 3 months on and 9 months off. This is my first real stab at bodybuilding though. I'd like to one day do a competition or something.

HomeYield- I'm doing the liquid form REFORVIT. I heard it pretty fowl.

I did see Britney but didn't get to talk to her. You could tell she recognized me but couldn't really tell who I was. The last time we worked together I was about 187lbs. I'm 290 now. I got to hang out with Master P, Justin and a few other celebs though. I'm choreographing a special event for P in April.

HomeYield- I'm doing the liquid form REFORVIT. I heard it pretty fowl.Gotcha. I didn't know if you were one of those people that had a hard time swallowing pills. A buddy of mine couldn't even take tylenol or something, lol, that'd be a rough life. :p

Hope it doesn't taste too bad.
