View Full Version : My Plan (Sorta weak)
Basically, I'm 15, and this summer I'm planning on running about 30 minutes a day/daily, having maybe a banana or two for breakfast, eating minimal dinner, and being hungry often.
I really think I need to drop, and I want to get 20 lbs off by August 1. I'll start this around June 10th.
I want to then start lifting, but doing it now won't be as encouraging because my fat still covers up any muscle I would gain, therefore causing me to most likely quit.
I figure I can cheat this way while I'm young, because when I get into my 20's, I won't be able to do stuff like that.
Sound stupid? Great?

Well I don't want to start out trying to get big if I'm fat. I'm not that fat, but I want to see results within 1 month about...is that possible?

You could safely lose about 8-10lbs in one month. If you lift weights you likely won't gain much, if any, muscle while you drop the fat. But what it will do is allow you to keep the muscle you do already have.
The way you are planning on going about this is going to be extremely catabolic, unhealthy and painful. Read this site and learn how to diet properly. You'll be glad you did.
If I want to get a ripped 6-pack I need to drop first.....
10 lbs in a month isn't what I would hope for. Maybe 25 lbs after the first month. A pound a day is somewhat tough, I know. But is it possible?

No - it's stupid, you'll just drop a bunch of muscle, and you'll look soft and squishy.
Cardio won't make you lean - you get that way by dieting carefully and lifting heavy.

10lbs is on the optimistics side. Don't even try to lose 25lbs in one month.
IT WILL BE DETRIMENTAL TO YOUR HEALTH! YOU WILL LOSE MUSCLE! YOU WILL GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK AGAIN IF YOU DON`T LEARN HOW TO DIET PROPERLY!
So should I start lifting and just eat only good stuff?
