I don't eat too many carbs every daym, only some cereal and 4 slices of bread for lunch, would it be smart for me to start carb loading once a week? What efffect would that have? I consume a great deal of protein during the week, so thats not a big problem. If I carb loaded once a week, would i lose a significant amount of fat? Or would i gain a lot of weight?

check out CKD or NHE diets if your goal is to shed fat

they have carb loadings as part of the guideline

im carb loading about once every 4 or5 days on about 700-1000 grams of carbs with about 350 protien and 100 fat or more. im soooooo starving when i have a carb up too so the food isnt that hard to down especailly when its cereals. and when i diet i take 400 grams or protien 50-70 grams of fat 20-30 carbs. this diet seems to be doin me good and not loosing anymuclse only loosing fat

Carbs don't make you fat , it is calories .

What are some good basic "carb loading" foods that most consume? I'm thinking about going on this CKD diet.

Ime I found the CKD method to be horrid for strength gains.
Next time I do this I think I will do only one workout every 10 days.
Or I will try a TKD.

2 times per week would be better. If your bodyfat levels are above 15 % then yes,once per week is ok.

I think that just doing the major compound exercises like: Squat, Bench, Deadlifts, etc.... would be good and leave out the seconday exercises while on the CKD diet. This is what i plan to do when I finally take the "ketogenic" plunge.

Maybe one or two full body compound exercise workout a week. I'm still a newbie; so I'll try anything........hehe!
